  in trying to get information on the jws, i have come across sites such as ewatchman, jwreform and beth-sarim.

  what is up with these sites.

  some of the articles i have read from jwreform i feel are very well written (one in particular is organizational idolatry) and have provided me some interesting information on the fallacies of the organization.

  The thing is this....the doctrines aren't so bad, in fact they are much better than most..Here's a list of a few.(not saying I agree with them all, but better than the rest)

  1. Jesus is the son of God, not God

  2. A paradise earth is coming

  3. We are in the last days

  4. the kingdom is a government

  5. soul is the entire being

  6. spirit is the impersonal life force

  7. no Hell but a permanent death

  8. the dead are in Hades, the common grave

  9. there will be a ressurection of heavenly and earthly individuals..

  The thing is the WT has gotten power hungry. And they refuse to change on old tired prophesies that are really wrong. They refuse to apoligize for the way their incorrect doctrines have destroyed peoples lives. They insist that their ideas and theirs alone are good and that you have no right to a different idea...or you are disfellowshipped. So they are really saying they are the mediator between God and man.

  Where is true religion?

  Is a personal relationship possible, without God communicating with everyon

  how does that work?

  is personal relationship with jesus possible without him commmunicating with each of us personally?

  does he communicate through a organization, and we delelop a personal relationship with the organization??

  hey David..

  Jesus said in Math. 5:38 "You heard that it was said, 'Eye for eye and tooth for tooth.' However, I say to you: Do not resist him on your right cheek, turn the other also to him."

  I believe he wasn't changing God's law but was talking of a new circumstance. Before God had a government of his own on earth and the 'eye of an eye' applied to handling judicial matters through judges and older men and the priest. But the new idea that Jesus talked of was talking about a personal assault, like an insult. Jesus knew that the Jewish system was going down and people wouldn't have to handle things on a personal level as a christian...So it was just a different time...not that the 1st idea was wrong...

  1. Jesus isn't God, but the son of God

  2. the kingdom is a government with Jesus and 144,000 humans that will reign in heaven for 1000 years.

  3. The earth will be transformed into a paradise

  4 . the soul is the entire being

  5. the spirit is the life force and is impersonal like electricity is

  6. Hell or Ghenna is permanent death

  7. Hades is the common grave

  8. Satan is ruler of world, goverments..everything but their organization.

  the mayan have even pinpointed in to the month and year, october 24, 2012.

  the facts: we know our species on this planet isn't forever, we'll either evolve with better traits or become extinct.

  Hello there....Armaggeddon...is associated with lies coming out of the governments, says in Rev. 16:13 "dragon (satan), wild beast and out of the mouth of the false prophet". "3 unclean expressions like frogs."

  Then in verse 15......"Look, I'm coming as a thief." (Then Jesus steps up to the governments and battles.)

  Rev. 17:13 "These have one thought, (to keep their power) ..............vs. 14 "These will battle with the Lamb, but because he is Lord of lords and King of kings, the Lamb will conquer them. Also, those called and chosed and faithful with him will do so, also."

  These lies coming from the government and the lamb's battle divides people as in Rev. 16:19 ,,, "And the great city split into 3 parts......."

  I don't see that the war of Armaggeddon is a time of destroying people like it's commonly thought of...and the unclean expressions are sure coming out of this regime.

  It's more like the time of cleaning up the corrupt government....at least that's my take.

  i find this labeling insulting and misdirected.

  i have been lied, deceived/tricked by a group of men posing as god's direct channel of communication.

  when a group of men heightens the expectations of a world change to happen in 1975 (armageddon) to its' adherents and nothing occurs and then blame their adherents for thinking such thoughts, this is outright deception.

  The Tetragram (YHWH)

  this is the watchtower's equivalent to the theory of evolution - there is no evidence but it must be so.

  in fact all the evidence points to the contrary.

  there is not one new testament manuscript known today in which the tetragram appears and there is no evidence of a conspiracy to get rid of the tetragram.

  I take it that God is greater than Christ..and they are co rulers...for now. So the credit should go to God mostly...Don't buy the idea that Jesus is God..And glory too should go to God first, Jesus second..

  Somewhere past numb~

  as a loyal jw, i was ready for my whole world to come to an earth-shattering halt and for life as i knew it to be gone...at the hand of my loving god.

  i would sit in school in my mental bubble and numb myself to the world around me.

  i grew older and entered the adult world and was aloof in my thoughts that i could not attach myself to any workmates or neighbors and put out my hand in friendship as they could be dead tomorrow and i would have to be ok with that.

  How great for you.,.....The people, including myself...cut their self off from feeling, I think you are right about that...Thing I like the most is looking at people for their individual gifts and not as 'part of Satans world'.....

  " paragraph 9: "that jehovah hates false worship is clearly seen from what happens to babylon the great.

  revelation 17:16 states: 'the ten horns...will hate the harlot and will make her devastated and naked, and will eat up her fleshy parts and will completely burn her with fire.

  Babylon was a world power not religions.....

  Matthew Chap 24, generation applies ONLY for 1st century

  when reading the prophecy in matthew 24 about the end it is obvious that the last generation thing the jws bring up is complete nonsense.

  there are two strands here, one for the end of jerusalem and the jewish state and a second for the end of the times of the nations.

  the generation mentioned only applies to the first strand since jesus refers to them as: this generation and it was indeed in its time that jerusalem was ruined, about 40 years later.

  Greendawn...I think almost everything is the bible is written in types and antitypes.. This, I think is another example... I think the witnesses just used the wrong formula the figure the 7 times...but that it all wrap up in a generation...like a 20 year time...Too, I think we are in that time now...
